Writing this memoir combined with my son's short stories, poetry, and thoughts has been a labor of love meant to publish his writings and to help others going through the hell of addiction. This combined memoir/novella is not a teaching or instructive book. It is designed to help the reader better understand addiction's realities through the experiences of both a parent and an adult child who becomes an addict. David lost his life to addiction. I hope that our story will help others avoid that destiny.
